Bois Farine, L'Artisan Parfumeur
Bois Farine, created by renowned perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena is L'Artisan Parfumeur's cult-smash entry in the line, and is described by the perfume house as being mysterious yet familiar. (there's your opening...)
Perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena was inspired by his travels round the Reunion Islands in the Indian Ocean, and in particular their rich and colourful forests and flowers. One odoriferous white tree in particular bears red flowers which emit a fragrance reminiscent of flour, dough or bread---this strangely calming flower inspired much of what you'll find in the juice.
Bois Farine is warm and light, indulgent but not sweet or fruity, with floury notes and fennel seed at its head, a blend of powdery white iris and farine flower notes at the heart and a base of white musk and dry milky notes of white cedar, gaiacwood and sandalwood, which provide a soothing aspect.
Bois Farine is a huge whopping hit, which certainly comes as no surprise and is as it should be.
