Although growing sweet peas in our neck of the muck was just not meant to be, we can still vividly recall their startlingly sweet and charming scent---so of course we were thrilled to discover that it can now be found in a jar of wax. For fans of sweet peas and fans of flowers and fans of Diptyque, Pois de Senteur is highly recommended for - well, everybody. We truly thought we would never find a fragrance, whether personal or home, that so accurately and tenderly captured the winsome beauty and fragile wistfulness of the Miss Willmott sweet peas Nana trained up the side of her house---a small bouquet of which would scent her front parlor in minutes---and we're very happy to report that we were wrong. Let's face it: the French do cutting-edge cut flowers very very well and Diptyque is very very French. These wizards have fashioned an exuberantly confident and playfully sophisticated candle (as is their wont) and, as usual, have steered clear of the often bizarre scents found in the few Sweet Pea renderings we've found in our travels. They have instead given us their trademark modern and masterful treatment of the unassuming little sweet pea.
