Product Code: EPPER002 Price: Check Latest Ellie Nuit Parfum - from none other than Michel Roudnitska - as in Frederic Malle's Noir Epices, the entire range of DelRae Roth, and the manager of Art et Parfum - is one of those rare fragrances that comes along, regrettably, once in eons. And we do not jest. Recently discovered by our (we fear) increasingly jaded noses at a Perfume Expo in NYC, after having been literally dragged to the booth by a lovely woman and very good friend who knows more about the world of scent than anyone this side of Mars. We were not dragged kicking and screaming but we will allow that a bit of eye-rolling may have ensued, as it had been a verrrrrrrrrry long day...Anyhoo, as is her wont, she growled ferociously in our ear "You have GOT to smell this!!! NOW!!!!!" Inasmuch as we trust her judgment implicitly, we grudgingly and grumpily ignored our aching feet and sore backs and empty tummies, and we went. We sniffed. And we were conquered. As you may well imagine, given that we've been exposed to easily 60 trillion scents and sell nearly that many, we've learned that the process must remain very, simple. If we just cannot, cannot, cannot stop sniffing, period - then it's for us. If we find ourselves heading to the shelves to spray something over and over and over again - as in 10X/day and once again at bedtime for good measure - then it's for us. And Ellie Nuit Parfum is, most decidedly and without equivocation, for us. We've a sneaking suspicion that we will not be alone in our obsession... The particulars? We should state at the outset that this is a perfume - it is not an EDP or an EDT - so the amount required is minimal. And the notes? A youthful and chic melange of rose, violet, fig, sandalwood, black currant, coriander, oakmoss, musk and cashmere seeds (this is Roudnitska, after all). To our noses, it's a floral, to be sure, but the positively elegant and impossibly sexy drydown of woodsy musk is without peer. This is the quintessential "little black dress" scent, though we'd happily wear it to brunch. We've been spending way too much time bickering as to where we would NOT wear this scent---and to date, no one's come up with anything. Perhaps we'd draw the line at the beach (could prove dangerous) - but that's just us. Have you guessed yet that we are beyond besotted? .5 oz/15ml parfum
