And now that we've experienced it we have cheerfully joined the throng in their unabashed adoration of one surpassingly dandy perfume. None other than the illustrious and ferociously talented Olivia Giacobetti has fashioned this fervently first-rate fragrance, who in her infinite wisdom has chosen wildly disparate notes that morph into a remarkably harmonious whole. Take a look: Top Notes: Saffron, Bitter Orange, Rum Absolute, Black Cumin, Bitter Orange Peel Heart Notes: Doum Palm, Smoked Ebony, Sugar Cane Base Notes: Leather, Red Sandalwood And then there's the bottle. Designed by Serge Mansau, who has this to say: "This bottle is a sail of the felucca, full of a swift sea breeze, taking away a wooden idol by night, the symbol of a nomadic people." Well put. But take a look at the photo, which does indeed speak at least a thousand words: this is a bottle for the collection. (There's also a very cool little necklace of teensy orange and black and white beads underneath the cap.
