Jean-Francois LaPorte was inspired by this treacherous (and poisonous!) plant, its captivating, extraordinary perfume and its mysterious qualities. Hence the name "Secrete Datura." The broad themes of the flower's perfume provide the inspiration for the composition: the top note intermingles lily, heliotrope and lemon. Enchanting, fascinating, mysterious, dangerous... Maître Parfumeur et Gantier was inspired by the unfathomable qualities of the Datura flower. Secrète Datura embraces the varied olfactory themes of the Datura flower: its top note, fresh and green, is a blend of lily of the valley, lemon and heliotrope. This is followed closely by its blooming middle notes of jasmine, honeysuckle and orange blossom. The fragrance finishes with such a very lush bottom: sandalwood, iris, chocolate and vanilla. The body, intentionally floral, calls upon jasmine, honeysuckle, wallflower and orange blossom, all assembled around the rich heart of the perfume: a suave melange in which iris, vanilla, chocolate and sandalwood present a bewitchingly united front.
