Rose Opulente from Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier is everything you would expect it to be - a rose to swoon by. An opulent (natch) and velvety deep red Ispahan rose - or rather a massive bouquet of same - this fragrance evokes an era we wish we'd known. It is an elegant but witty (in other words, French) concoction of sublime lushness, with the added fillip of spicy raspberries.
This beauty was created by Maître Parfumeur et Gantier's Jean-Francois LaPorte as a tribute to the Queen of Flowers. The fresh Rose Opulente was discovered in a garden in the Far East; it reveals itself delicately and demurely and blooms with spicy, fruity and green notes, resulting in quite the heady rose for the ages. This is decidedly not your Grandmother's Tea Rose perfume (not that there's anything wrong with that)...
