Rancé 1795's d'erjé Perfumed Stardust Body Cream: Jeanne Sandra Rancé (the sixth generation to run the firm since it was founded by Francois Rancé), together with her husband Felice d'Elia, have been working side by side, creating magnificent perfumes, skin care and highly refined body care products, for over 35 years. One of Mr. d'Elia's long-cherished dreams has been to draw on his lifelong immersion in the world of fragrance to develop a scent that he could dedicate to his wife, "the love of his life"---and this he's finally done with this luxuriously silky and truly emollient body cream sporting the unmistakable scent of its namesake Eau de Parfum, d'érjé - "our Jeanne". Wow.
Top notes: Neroli, ylang-ylang, narcissus, lily of the valley, violet leaf
Heart Notes: Angelica, paw-paw, tangerine, jasmine, rose, passion fruit
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Iris, Musk, Bourbon Vanilla, Rosewood
Housed in a hefty yet elegant tube of pearly white and gleaming gold. Boxed.
**A word or two about stardust:** Make no mistake - we adore this cream and cannot find enough excuses to wear it. However we feel it only right to share with you that we often have stars in our eyes, but more to the point that the stars dusting this cream are actually teensy tiny little pieces of gold glitter - and we mean to say they are reeeeeeeeeeally teensy. But they're there, nonetheless---so if you're considering grabbing a sweater that set you back a coupla thou', you might want to reach for another lotion. (Or then again, maybe not.)
We truly love the Rancé line and feel safe in saying that, for a few of us, d'erjé in particular has proved to be particularly riveting. At first whiff someone exclaimed "Banana!" and another yelped "PEACH and banana!"---followed closely by "no WAY!! It's PEAR and banana!" Whereas we've yet to reach total accord as to exactly which fruit it is that greets our eager noses (passion fruit, anyone?), we couldn't agree more that d'erjé may well be added to an HG list or two. Lemming lists? pshaw. Indubitably.
200ml/6.7 oz.
